MELISA GRUNTAR

Co-Founder, Financial and Administrative Director

Named Meli by her friends, she was born and raised in the Soča Valley. She is the mind behind the logistics and the administration; Melisa has been working for almost a decade in the outdoor tourism industry.

Passionate for nature, sports and travels, she discovered Patagonia a few years ago, where she fall in love with its immense wildlife and Memo. Wanting to share all their passion and experience, she came up with the idea of opening Me 2 Outdoor Center, with the aim to help discover the very best of her motherland to its visitors.

Always striving for perfection, and to seeing happy faces leaving the office, Melisa knows every great place and activity you should try in the region. She will be the best help you can get to plan your adventures and get all the tips you need to enjoy your stay from beginning to end.

Melisa speaks Slovenian, English and Spanish, so do not hesitate to approach the office or contact her for advice. She will be pleased to help you with all the information you want, showing you a warm Soča like welcome.

FRANCISCO ESPÍNDOLA

Co-Founder, Technical Director and Trip leader

Better known as Memo, born in Bio-Bio and raised in Futaleufú on the Chilean Patagonia. There you can find some of the best big volume rivers of the Planet.

Memo started whitewater kayaking 20 years ago and has been paddling since all over the world. His rafting guide career begun 15 years ago. Performing worldwide, winning invaluable experience and earning several international certifications throughout the years.

His trajectory has taken him to compete in numerous races. His love for outdoor sports, make him an all-terrain kind of person, also practicing mountain bike and snowboard in his free time.

A few years ago, he met Melisa and the landscapes of Slovenia and it was love at first sight. You would not find a better person to guide you through Soča’s rapids on a safe, fun and exciting ride that will be the highlight of your holidays.

Memo speaks Spanish, English, Italian and he is quickly learning Slovenian.

MITJA GROSAR

CANYONING AND RAFTING GUIDE, logistics manager

Mitja grew up in Soča Valley, he knows every corner of it. His whole life was about nature and outdoors – more specifically water, that’s why he also decided to deepen his knowledge in maritime studies on Slovenian coast. He spent the best times and made unforgettable memories next to the sea. We assure that grows the same love for Soča river – that’s why he decided to integrate to our team and got all the important knowledge on different courses and in hard practice. 

As a young boy he loved to play football – he still participates in local matches organized during summer in the valley. Besides that, one of his biggest passions is also fitness and healthy life-style in general. That’s why, don’t worry, you’ll be in good muscles, upsss, hands while with him in the canyon or on the rapids. 

He is committed and responsible person who will always put safety first but above all he’ll make you laugh and make your trip memorable. He is always there to help and gives 100% of him – that’s why he’s our first option – it should be yours also!
